The NHIC's which was founded in 1975 encourages and supports the standards of the home improvements industry. They also encourage households to become more energy efficient and to reduce carbon emissions.
They promote their members to use good quality materials and have a code of practice which covers guarantees, warranties and a high standard of workmanship.
If you are employing a builder or contractor the NHIC can supply you with a contract so you can agree with your tradesman work that is to be carried out. This is available by mail order from sales@ribabooks.com
