Merseyside Home Improvements - Composting
With local councils urging us to recycle more having a composter can help towards reducing waste, saving money and fertilising your garden at the same time. If you don’t want a shop bought composter making your own is easier than you think. You can use old pallets, decking or planks of leftover wood. Ideally allow for access at the bottom of your compost.
Make sure your compost is well aerated and damp but not overly wet. There are a whole host of food left over’s and household waste you can compost such as stale bread, cardboard and tea leaves along with all garden waste.
