Merseyside Home Improvements - Best at DIY
A recent study has revealed that people in the North are better at DIY than those in the south. A large insurance company who did the study over four years found that the worst area for botched DIY and accidents caused by repair work in the home was Bournemouth. Some of the work carried out even de-valued the property they where trying to repair.
It is thought that the average person spends about a year of their life doing DIY repairs and less than 1 in 5 said they actually liked doing it but would do it themselves to try and save money. Of those questioned 1 in 3 had started a job but never got round to finishing it.
The study also revealed that almost 50% of women said their ideal partner would be good at DIY.
