Merseyside Home Improvements - Removing Wallpaper

If you have ever tried to remove wallpaper it always rips and all you end up with is a piece of triangle shaped wallpaper in your hand. Scientists have studied why this happens and have found that there is nothing that can be done to prevent this. They say it’s due to the adhesive and that when you pull the paper the force tries to break the adhesive but deforms into two folds instead.

The thickness of the paper, the strength of the glue and how hard you pull will make a slight difference. The scientists built a robotic arm to test what was the best approach and found that the slower the paper was pulled it lowered the grip of the adhesive but still resulted in a triangular piece of paper but of a larger size.

If this is a task that feels like to much hard work call in a decorator who will do all the hard work for you.
